eTunisie ("we", "us", "our") operates the website etunisie.net and related sub-domains. We are an independent travel discovery platform showcasing Tunisia as a destination. We are not a tour operator and we do not directly handle hotel or flight reservations — those are completed on partner websites (Booking.com, Aviasales, GetYourGuide, Welcome Pickups, etc.).

We try to collect as little personal data as possible. Depending on how you use the site, we may process:

• Account data — name, email, language, country, travel preferences (only if you create a guest or partner account).
• Trip planning inputs — dates, party size, interests, budget you enter into our planner or AI assistant Karim.
• Contact data — anything you submit through forms (contact, partner application, review).
• Technical data — IP address (hashed), browser, device, referring page, pages visited.
• Cookies & local storage — language preference, currency, session, anonymous analytics.

• Provide the service: load the right language, remember your currency, run the trip planner and AI assistant.
• Send transactional emails (sign-up confirmation, password reset, asked-for content like the Asslema Kit).
• Improve the site: aggregated, anonymous analytics on which pages and partners are most useful.
• Prevent abuse: rate-limiting, spam detection, fraud prevention.
• Comply with legal obligations.

• Consent — analytics cookies, marketing emails (you can withdraw any time).
• Contract — providing the account or planner you signed up for.
• Legitimate interest — security, fraud prevention, basic site analytics.
• Legal obligation — keeping records required by Tunisian or EU law.

Many CTAs on eTunisie redirect to partner sites (hotels, flights, tours, transfers). When you click such a link, the partner sets its own cookies and we may receive a commission if you book — at no extra cost to you. Once you land on the partner's site, that partner's privacy policy applies.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Infrastructure providers (hosting, database, email delivery) bound by data-processing agreements.
• Analytics providers in aggregated, anonymous form.
• Authorities when legally required.

Data may be processed in the EU, the UK or in Tunisia. When data leaves the EEA we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

• Trip plans & saved itineraries: until you delete them.
• Contact form messages: 24 months.
• Anonymous analytics: up to 26 months.
• Email logs: 12 months.

• Delete your account and data
• Restrict or object to processing
• Port your data to another service
• Withdraw consent for marketing

eTunisie is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be highlighted on the home page or by email when relevant.
